Birth certificate of my fiancee.?

Im goin to petition my fiance.The birth certificate she sent me from nso in the philippines is not clear i can barely read the names and other info written in it.she said thats the copy they have there.Do you think the uscis will question that certificate and ask for a clear copy?any advice?

  1. It has to be clear.

    Could also be a phony! Red light before you marry.


  2. If the document is not clear, it will not be acceptable.  You will beed to get a better copy, and make sure copy is sealed by hospital or government agency.

If it is in an authenticated NSO security paper the US Embassy might have to consider it.Mine was a little blurry too but I got it directly from NSO and was printed in their security paper and has a NSO seal in it.Aside from that, US Embassy themselves also conducts documents verification directly to the said agency so the NSO could confirm to the US Embassy that it is indeed a correct data.I suggest she secure a baptismal and a birth certificate copy in the Civil Registrar in her place of birth or where it was reported by her parents to serve as a back up to her birth certificate from NSO.Good luck.
