What do you think the chances are?

I've been off birth control for a week and over the weekend my boyfriend and I went out of town and stayed at a cabin.. and well.. you know. but we didn't use any protection and I've been off of BC for a week and I just got off my period like a few days before we went to the cabin. Also; when I take my birth control I take it the wrong way. I usually skip a day and then double up the next, skip a day and double up the next, and so on. What do you think my chances are of being pregnant?

and not to be too graphic but we had a LOT of s*x..

I've been taking birth control for about 4-5 months but like I said I take them in a really messed up way.

  1. Well there is a pretty big chance that you could have gotten pregnant. The birth control doesn't work very well at all if you don't take it regularly. That is the big reason why so many girls get pregnant even on birth control. Also, you very possibly could have been ovulating...which means that the egg was all lined up and extremely fertile. Finally, s*x in general is always a great way to get yourself pregnant. So yeah...I sure hope that you wanted a baby because you sure did do a "wonderful" job of trying. Take a pregnancy test...and then learn to be more responsible

  2. You have an extremely high chance if being pregnant since you didn't protect yourself in any way at all. Has it been 72 hours? I would take the morning after pill just to be sure. You might want to think about protecting yourself in the future (aka IMMEDIATELY).

  3. You could be pregnant.

There is a reason the birth control packet insert says to take one pill every day at about the same time.  Taking them irregularly significantly lowers their effectiveness.  If you were responsible and had read the instructions, you would know that not taking them properly can lead to pregnancy.  When you skip a day, you are supposed to use protection for a week to guarantee you will not get pregnant.  Since, technically, you skip every other day... well, you might as well not even be taking the pills.

If you are not responsible enough to take the pills properly, you should not have them in your possession and should not be having s*x.  End of story.  I mean, come on!  You aren't even responsible enough to read the instructions for the medication you are taking!  You are definitely not ready for a baby.

You need to go see a doctor and talk about alternate forms of birth control.  There are other things you can get, like the shot or an IUD, that are not permanent, but are not something you have to remember every day.

  4. morning after pill.

    throw yourself down some stairs.

    smoke and drink.

    punch yourself in the stomach.

get rid of your little problem before it gets bigger.

  5. oh dear......your chances of falling pregnant are extremely high. EXTREMELY! Do yourself, your boyfriend and those who love you a big favour. Visit your doctor and tell him the way you have been taking your contraceptive pill. Get him to do a pregnancy test for you and don't forget an STD check as well. Unprotected s*x is not just about pregnancy - its also about contracting a sexual disease. And no I'm not saying your partner is cheating on you but you must always be careful and stay in control. Your doctor may be able to give you some good advice to help you to start taking your pill regularly. And also it can't be good for your body and its cycle to be taking the pill so erratically?

  6. How can the possibility of you getting pregnant out of your stay in a cabin without protection, unless teh exact day of the period is mentioned?

  7. Sorry, but every person is different. The best way to take the birth control is everyday, at the same time each day. If you happen to miss a day, you take it when you remember. Anyways, since you didn't take it 'correctly' and you've been off it without protection, I PERSONALLY would think there's a higher chance.

The only way to know is to take a pregnancy test!

    Good luck,

    best wishes!

  8. sounds like u want to get pregnant to me!!

  9. Well, there's no sense in taking birth control if that's how you take it. And it's not very responsible to be having s*x without using protection. I'm sorry, I know that sounds kind of, rude, but it is the truth. I'm 15. And I'm sexually active. My mom had a fit when she found out. But she was at least glad that I am on birth control and take it regularly and he used a condom. Now isn't the time to be thinking "oh god what if I'm pregnant." That's something you and your boyfriend should have already talked about and taken precautionary measures to prevent.

No one can tell you your chances of being pregnant. Since it sounds like you were on, or just got off, your period, it's lower than if you were ovulating. Get the morning after pill. It's better to tell your parents now, than have to tell them you're pregnant. Some birth controls can be taken as morning after pill... I know mine can, so look it up online. However, know that sperm can live inside you for up to a week, and you can begin ovulating 10-15 days into your cycle. There is a 2-3 day window in which you can become pregnant.

I really hope he pulled out?

And I know people are going to say "Pre-*** has sperm"

But actually... it doesn't. There is only sperm in pre-*** if he hadn't urinated since the last time he ejaculated, because it would stay near the urethra, and when the precum was released it would be released with it.

So, these are all things to think about.

    I hope I helped.

I really wish you the best.

  10. were you off the BC for the week for your period and then started them up again or did you just quit taking them?  Are you going to start taking them again?   Usually you take them for three weeks and then off for a week (or take a placebo, sugar, pill) for a week when you have your period then start up a new pack.  Did you start a new pack or did you decide to stay off of them?  If you started up a new pack on time then you are probably ok.  If you decided to stay off of them then there is a chance of being pregnant.
