  1. the doctor writes you a prescription and you fill it at the pharmacy (not all pharmacies will fill birth control prescriptions but most do--just go to a mainstream one)

so you can go where ever you obtain your female care to get it.  Planned parenthood, sometimes there are clinics that women can go to that have a sliding fee scale (even if it seems it is just for pregnant women they will give you birth control as well and many young women go to these places to obtain preventive care, doctor etc...

the patch is the only type of birth control that DIDN'T make me gain weight.  It is annoying if you tan because even though it doesn't move when you are showering or anything else for some reason it seems to slide around when you tan.  Also there are different sites you can put it and are supposed to use a different spot each week---one of the sites is either butt cheek--if you where thongs I find that jeans rub up against it a lot there from sitting up and down and may cause issues.  I have heard some rather negative things about the patch being linked with some serious side effects--I think most birth control does though.

EDIT: the comment above mine is ridiculous--this person (i am thinking definitely a man) obviously doesn't understand what a birth control patch is.

  2. Visit Planned Parenthood. They offer many types of birth control at prices that reflect how ever much you are making and offer 100% confidentiality.

  3. You can get it from your doctor. Check out your general practitioner or a birth control clinic. Most planned parenthood clinics offer lots of contraceptive options.
