i've been on a deprovera for 2 yrs, my last shot was in Feb '07 and haven't been on a birth-control since. i've been told that it will take at least 12-18 months to get back to my regular cycle. so in june i finally got my period, but afterwards nothing... my question is there anything i should be worried about without consulting a Doctor yet?

  1. No.  It took me almost 2 years to get fully normal.  It's good you stopped.  High cancer risk.

  2. My fear would be that you might be pregnant. I would take a pregnancy test. The shot works for 3 months, after that is anyone's guess when you would be fertile. The "period' you experienced might have been implantation bleeding. You should test with a urine test and if that comes back normal, then don't worry much yet. Periods can be irregular after having been on depo.
