  1. I'M NOT SURE WHAT KIND YOUR TAKING, BUT I TOOK YAZ AND IT WORKED GREAT. IT CLEARED UP THE LITTLE BIT OF ACNE ON MY FACE, I LOST WEIGHT, AND MY PERIODS WERE LIGHTER. I LOVED IT, AND WHEN I SAY LOVED I ONLY STOPPED TAKING TO TRY TO HAVE ANOTHER BABY, WELL IT WORKED.

  2. with the Pill you gain weight, hips widen and b***s grow, as the level of hormones increases

this will happen with any form of contraception where hormones are used - the injection, implant etc

use a condom! and also se your GP as there are lots of types of birth control available and there will be one out there to suit your needs

  3. I take Yasmin, which actually reduces water weight.

Try it out. Have been on it for 4 years now and never gained a single pound on it.

  4. You may or may not gain weight.  It depends on you, and the pill you are on.  Some women do and some women do not.  Depending on what contraceptive you use, you could gain up to 50 pounds (the shot is notorious for this, I'm a former depo provera user). or you may not gain at all.

  5. it all depends on your body and you can either gain wieght or lose weight..im on birth control and im losing wieght.

  6. I asked the exact same question to my doctor before I started taking birth control pills.  She told me this is nothing but a myth, derived from the heavy levels of hormones that used to be in oral contraception (think the 1960s).  I was told it is completely false that my hips would widen and my b*****s would grow, and no more than 3 pounds could be blamed on the pill.  With all of the horrible "side effects" I've heard of, I didn't quite believe her; But sure enough, my hips and b***s stayed the same size and I didn't gain any weight.  Some women swear it's the pill that makes them gain weight, so stick with a low-hormone pill like Ortho-Tricyclen Lo or Yaz.  Lower doses of hormones can help with avoiding many of the side effects from birth control pills.
