Okay so my birthday is on the 20th and I am having a tiny party with my whole family and I. I have no idea what kind of cake i want, so do you have any suggestions? I dont want anything to "original" like the white or chocolate cake, something flavorful and fun.

  1. How about a kitty litter cake?

    Recipe:

1 spice or German chocolate cake mix

    1 white cake mix

    1 pkg. white sandwich cookies

1 lg. vanilla instant pudding mix

    small tootsie rolls

    1 new kitty litter box

    1 new kitty litter liner

    1 new pooper scooper

    1.  Prepare cakes mixes and bake according to directions (any size pans.)

    2.  Prepare pudding mix and chill.

    3.  Crumble cookies in small batches in blender.

    4.  When cakes are cooled curmble into a large bowl.  Toss with half the cookie crumbs and the pudding.  Mix until moist, not soggy.

    5.  Put mixture into kitty litter box.

    6.  "Bury" some tootsie rolls throughout.  Sprinkle the other half of the cookies crumbs over the top.  Place some tootsie rolls on top.  Serve with pooper scooper.

Or another fun idea is Dirt Cake:

    1 pkg chocolate sandwich cookies

1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

    1/2 cup butter

    1 cup powdered sugar

    1 tsp. vanilla

    3 cups milk

2 small pkgs. instant vanilla pudding mix

1 12 oz. carton frozen Kool Whip thawed

    2 - 4 new plastic flower pots, 4" to 6" diameter

    gummy worms

    silk flowers if desired

    1.  Crush cookies until they resemble potting soil.  Divide half of the crumbs between the flower pots.

    2.  In large bowl beat the cream cheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.  In another bowl whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes.  Let stand for 2 minutes and fold in whipped topping.  Gently fold into cream cheese mixuture until blended.  Add filling to pots.  Cover with rest of crumbs.  Decorate with gummy worms and flowers if desired.

  4. snickers cake. cheesecake.  or why not pie. brother never wanted cake just cherry pie for dessert

  5. an ironman cake

  6. Red velvet cake is not often used for birthdays, but it is scrumptious.  I also recommend a cream cheese pound cake with fresh berries and cream since berries are in season and affordable.  You could also liven up a traditional cake by putting and unusual filing between the layers; things like alternating blackberry puree and chocolate ganash with a butter cake, or a mocha mousse with espresso chocolate cake layers and white chocolate frosting.  Just mix flavors around with a traditional cake base and you can come out with something interesting.  I suggest foodtv.com or Southern Living for recipes.  Happy birthday, and good luck!

  7. Get an oreo cheese cake from the cheesecake factory!

  8. Up side down cake

  9. how about a banana pudding cake
