Birthday Gift Help???

My daughters second birthday is next month and i have no idea what to get her (I know my mother in law is going to outdo me)..what gift will be good for a 2 year old girl?

V-tech has this really great game my mother in law bought for my dauger you plug it into the tv kinda like a playstation but it is designed for toddlers...but they feel grown up playing big kid games if it is too advanced they also have a v-tech smile for baby which is also nice you could buy both if you have the money to spend. I have 2 twin neices and I just got back from visiting them. OMG...they love to play dress-up. Especially in princess gowns like Belle, Cinderella...etc. You could buy a big trunk  and put a bunch of dress up items...shoes, jewelery, crowns, play make-up and of course some outfits. HOURS of fun and it makes them feel so special. Best Wishes!!

Does she like pretend play?  Maybe a whole trunk of dress up stuff: dresses, wigs, hats, shoes, etc.  Or maybe one of those Step 2 kitchen sets.  My daughter is 6 and still plays with hers.

It semed to me that the grandma make you feel a bit inferior.

I have a four year old daughter and let me tell you at that age they dont need that much when it comes to gifts they are not going to really remember that day anyways so if you do go overboard it is for compitition dont over do it because granma always does.At that age for a girl a little party is apporiate with dolls as themes such as princess or barbie.Be smart about this dont spend to much get her involved that special time that you guys spend together is priceless bake the cake or cupcakes toghether.play little toddler games sing songsget a little pool make it a pool party remember this is for your daughter not anyone else like your mother in law or neighbor.Do as much as you can with your budget because remember you still have bills to pay I promise you she will have a great time.for that age 3 hours is more than enough time to have the party.

My daughter loves the princesses and she got a little chest with 3 sets of dress up clothes (target 29.99). They also have alot of baby dolls with strollers that are a big hit.

Dont worry, My mother and mother in law always out do me but thats what grandmas are for.

My neice really loved her play kitchen, she got it for Christmas when she was 2. She's 4 and still loves it!
