Stephen King's book "Duma Key" is about a

    father & daughter relationship. (hint)

  5. if he smokes, a nice pipe tobacco, or cigars. personalized lighter is a nice touch. he reads, and is a sports fan, subscription to sports illustrated or the like, and that often comes with a gift as well, like a watch or something. any other hobbies? since you say HE bbq's when he's at the office why not grill up some steaks, potatoes, and if you arent old enough have someone that is snag him a 6 of importedd beer. feed him bbq when he comes home with a few heinekin, or even a selection start with fosters lager followed by moosehead from canada, etc. do something silly, and really personal like when you were a really young kid make him a coupon gbook, good for 1 car wash, 1 hug, 1 take out the garbage, and give it to him with his favourite after shave or cologne.

  18. A couple of years ago I made a card for my dad that was probably the best gift I ever gave him.  I had recently found 3 pictures of him holding me when I was about 2 or 3 years old.  I took the pictures to kinko's and had the copy onto the front of the card in inside I put the lyrics to Beyonce's song "Daddy" which was very fitting to our relationship.  I got married a year later and that was the song that my dad and I danced to.

My dad is one of those men who have everything so it is very hard to get him a special gift.  When he looked at the card he actually got teary eyed.  It meant more to him than anything I could buy out of a store.
