Birthday ideas for a 4 year old girl?

I have know idea what to do for her any ideas will help

Think cheap (she probably won't remember it a year from now..)

For my daughter's last bday I bought a cheap but cool sprinkler from the dollar store, and some cheap water guns and a slip and slide, water balloons...

Made a fish cake (http://www.kinderpond.com/RainbowFishCak... which really wasn't too hard to do (just don't use skittles if its humid. They smear and look a little creepy. Ha)

And all the kids got to wear swimming suits and play, then did cake and presents.

I also found some cool games that we played...

pin the parts on the fish (or potato head) - just make a large fish out of poster board (she can help you do this, coloring and all, and its a fun project), then make seperate eyes, tail, fins, scales, mouth, etc., stick it on the fence, blindfold the kids, and steer them in the general direction. It's cute and hilarious.

(Potato head is the same concept, just cut a potato poster board, then make seperate eyes, arms, legs, nose, mouth, etc... its like a potato picasso when they're done.)

Dora the Explorer I don't know what ur budget is like but, Walmart has this pool with water slide you connect the hose to it and it turns the pool into a water slide and pool and it's really big it costs about 300 and decorate the backyard into an Island adventure. Have gold chocolate coins for kids to find. Iparty has a great selection of Palm Trees and all kinds of tropical things. Think Island Adventure!

Does she like animals you can couple a jungle theme with Diego,and do a animal rescue(with a stuffed animal) like they do in the cartoon on nick.

You can do a Dora the explorer theme,dress your daughter like Dora,have a map made at fed ex,and have to get from one point to the other.

for the summer a hawaii luau is always fun, pools can make for a stressful day on the adults, but have water games, sno cones, grass skirts and leies, hawaiian music, hula lesson, little girls love dressing up. Also dress up the backyard. Tiki torches and barbque and its fun for a family party too! Also if that idea doesn't sound great find they always have their favorite movies or tv show themes. My niece loves dora the explorer so shes have a party based on that. Of course the decorations, foods plates, pinata! Don't forget to come up with fun simple games and activities perfect for 4 year olds that are along the same line and the theme

I did a Carnival theme for my child this summer. We had carnival music...circus peanuts, cotton candy, Whirly Pops, Icies, Popcorn, Hotdogs, Corndogs...then we had little games like ring toss, duck pond, basketball toss, waterballoon, toss, etc. Everyone took home a copy of the CD I had made of all the music. It was such a fun day and pretty inexpensive to do. Good Luck!
