My two sons will turn 4 & 5 on Sept 8th and Sept 10th this year. Less than a year apart. We have had a sports party, a mcdonalds party, and a cars party...anything else that might be interesting? I cannot ask them for their opinion because one want a certain kind, the other wants something different, etc. I will choose a theme and just curious as to where i should go, food, games> I like to plan ahead, it makes for a better party. Thanks

  1. You can have a bowling party; a movie theater party; or a pizza making party....

I did the last one for the kids on a day when there was no school... The kids came to the place and decorated their pizza boxes and put their names on it.  Then all the kids got some dough, tomato sauce and cheese as well as some other toppings.  During the time the pizza was being made, two teenagers helped me with the kids - they made some craft projects or basically just hung out.  We had a birthday cake.  All of my son's friends came - we had 34 kids there!  When the pizza was done, the kids went home.  Everyone really had a blast.

  2. I'd suggest going with a pirate theme this year.....pirates of the caribbean is great for a fun party!!

  3. You could do a super hero party or an animal party.  For the super hero party you could serve a hero sandwhich with chips and different snacks.  For the animal party you could serve sandwhichs served in different animal shapes. I hope that helps.

  4. A good thing to use for the boys party would probably some clowns playing with diabolos and doing funny stuff.

  5. GAMES: water balloons, water slides, water guns, and scavenger hunts, Twister, board games, card games, volley ball, soccer, beach balls, "TAG", Hide and Seek, music, karaoke, watch movies, dance, musical chairs, freeze dance, limbo

EXTRA STUFF: goody bags, pinata (put blind fold on everybody) glow sticks

FOOD: barbecue food, burgers and vegetarian burgers, pasta, pizza, chips, soda, ice cream(have them make their own ice cream with cherries, chocolate syrup, sprinkles)fruit, vegetables(celery sticks, carrot sticks, mini tomatoes) or Hawaiian or Chinese food, snow cones

HAVE FUN!!! & HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :D

  6. My son had a pirate and princess themed party for his 5th birthday and we had a great time.

The cake was a square sponge painted in food colours to look like a treasure map, everybody dressed as either Cpt Jack Sparrow or Kiera Knightly, we played main-deck quarter-deck (remembered from the days of Brownies) and pin the beak on the parrot.

I wanted a cowboys and indians party but the boys out voted me!
