Hello, I need some ideas for my little son b-day party, he's 4 years old now and he´s going to turn 5 in Sep. 6, but the problem is that he´s with a leg cast because a broken foot(story in another question) he's using crutches now, he's pretty mobile with them and his b-day is close and we want some ideas for a different party because he can´t walk with the cast and a traditional party demands him to walk and run, the place of the party will be our house, in the backyard, really inside and outside of the house, but he´s looking forward to his birthday and obviously the cast is a problem for him, he´s very active and we want to make the best party to our son, we want him much enjoyment. A great day for him. Thanks in advance for his helpful answers.

  1. Maybe a painting party.  Finger painting, sponge painting, even a throw the paint at a wall mural (hang a large paper on the wall) or water balloons filled with paint to throw at a wall.  Tell the kids to wear old clothes.  Cover his cast with a bag if you need to.

The kids could make their own pizzas - buy the crust and all the toppings and let them build their own.  This is a  sitting activity that will pass some time.

Play a game that the kids all need to hop on one foot just like your son has to.  Maybe some sort of easy obstacle course.

  2. Can you have a movie party.  Pick one of his favorite movies and the kids can watch it int he house.  Serve popcorn, movie candy and hotdogs at a concession stand. He can sit behind it.   print out fake money for them to use and have stars hanging up and handprints like in Hollywood walk of fame.  You can do a red carpet from an old red table cloth.   make the invitation look lie a movie ticket.  they can do a craft project afterwords with their handprints.

  3. For a boy that turning 5yrs old well you can get a cake with his favorite

cartoon a pitcure of him on it.  get some balloons put them around the house. for indoor you can get some party games going that right for his age.for outdoors you can get some game going that are active but to where he will not hurt himself, have someone dress up as a clown.

have good treats out for the children
