Take her out!  Take her out to breakfast, lunch, or dinner or to the movies, anything.  Spending time with you is going to mean MUCH more to her than anything you buy her.  You can go and manicures and pedicures together and then out to lunch, and a bouquet of flowers.  I'm sure she would love the pampering and LOVE the fact that you're going together.

Dinner cruise

You can get one of those collage picture frames that they sell in just about every store in the framing dept.  Michael's, AC Moore, Kohl's, Target, Linens and Things, etc.  they all sell them.  They are the frames that are big with the many openings.  Some have different sized openings and some have all the same sized openings.  You can get one of these frames and put pictures of you and your mother through the years in the frame leaving 2 spaces blank.  One to put Happy Birthday and the date, and the other to take a picture with your mom on her actual birthday and put the picture in there when it's printed out so the most recent picture is in there.  It's like a scrapbook for her wall and she can look at it whenever she wants.  I'm sure she will love it because it's pictures of you and her through the years!

You can also get her a frame and picture of you and her in it.  Or get one of those frames that you decorate, decorate it and put a picture of you and her in it.  

You can get her flowers.

If she has a hobby, get her something for her hobby or a gift card to the store she shops in for that hobby.

If she collects things, get her something to add to her collection.

You can put together a basket of her favorite things.  You can get a basket and put her favorite shower gels, snacks, candy, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, perfume, etc.  All the things you know she loves and uses all the time.

If she gardens, you can get her something for her garden, some herbs or trees, etc.

A fountain for the yard, home, office

If she commutes to work, a gas card and a mug that plugs into the cigarette lighter that keeps the mug warm so her coffee/tea doesn't get cold while she's driving.

Get her car washed, waxed, and detailed.

If she likes any sports or is a fan of any teams, get her some fan gear.  Like mugs, shirts, etc.

Cook her up her favorite meal, whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  Sit her down, set the table and make her, her favorite meal.

If there's something that you know she likes, make a basket of those things, like if she likes coffee, make a coffee basket.  Get some gourmet coffees, a new mug, etc, and put together a basket of those things for her.

You can bake her, her favorite dessert or cake.  This way she has her favorite dessert or cake for her birthday.  If you know how to do that.  You can always ask someone for help.
