Birthday present for my 19 year old daughter?

Any ideas? She has a phone and mp4 player

If off to uni again, probably she would like a new fashionable backpack, or if you have loads to spend, a new laptop computer if her's is old. I got one last Christmas and the difference it has made in my ability to work (and to skive off here a little) is brilliant compared to the old one.

Failing that, how about a voucher of some sort, she could buy what she wants or needs once back to uni. That and a small thing of a personal nature to remember the day itself. Perhaps a nice jewelry piece that's not to expensive.

I suggest a gift card to a clothing store so she can use stuff for back to college.  Target would be a great option because they have makeup, dorm furniture, cards, clothes, just about everything ! either Target or wa-mart, because these stores have a variety of options.

so if she wants to drop a $200 gift card of clothes, she can, or she can get makeup and some new lamps or a desk for college

give her someone to celebrate with her or somewhat a reunion and bring her to her favorite place or to an event she's dying for to go. And if she has a special someone invite him to celebrate with her and give them some private moments. Hope that will work.

That’s interesting why don’t you give her a surprise party and you can go for out for a short brake or you can buy a present which will helpful for her, for her education i.e. electronic note book and I think as a mum you know about the best gift because you know all of her needs, likes or dislikes.
