Birthday presents for a 12 year old boy

my mum and dad have no idea what to give my brother for his birthday.

he turns 12 in 2 days. he likes playing xbox and computer games and spends most of his time doing that. apart from something game related what is something that he can use outside, e.g a football, bike

I would say a skateboard...I know they only cost like 20 bucks and it seems like a cheap gift but if you want to go all out you could take him out to pick cool wheels and pads and a helmet.
