I asked a few female coworkers to join me for treat (lunch) on my birthday. I am expecting that I will be paying for everyone. Will they be insisting that they would be paying for me?

  1. Well since it's your coworkers, I think it is unwritten code that everyone pays for themselves.

Now the tricky business of it being your birthday but you having set up the lunch date. I would joke it out at the beginning of lunch -

"This is a birthday treat and I'm going to treat myself to the [insert your food order here]."

  2. even if you invited me - I would offer to pay for my own & yours b/c it's your b-day.

  3. Someone may offer to pay for you but since you extended the invite they might not. I would order something cheap so your co workers won't mind paying and keep your wallet handy just in case

  4. If you invited me for your birthday I would pay for mine and yours but the rest would have to pay for their own

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!  Have fun

  5. well happy birthday well they would insist on paying if not bring ur wallet

  6. maybe some of them but get ready to pay for all

  7. That's very generous of you to offer to take everyone out.

I suspect that since you invited them out, they will expect you to pay. Be prepared just in case, but maybe you will luck out.

However, if I was going, I would insist on picking up your tab because it's YOUR birthday!!!

Edit: I'm not saying that I would feel that way if someone asked me to join them for lunch on their birthday. You just wouldn't believe how many people don't have manners these days!!!

    PS ~ Happy Birthday!!!

  8. if i were them, i would pay for my own and maybe yours out of common courtesy

  9. More than likely they will all pitch in to cover your lunch, let them and return the favor on their b-day.  If not they are not very nice people.

  10. Some may insist on paying for yours and their own.  I know I probably would.  If you want to pay for all of them, make sure you make it perfectly clear before you go...
