Birthmark on my shoulder?

Hi, well I would say my birthmark is pretty strange. It's on my left shoulder and is just a big patch of freckles and has a shape to it, but it's really noticeable because I don't have any freckles anywhere else. As I'm a teenager this really knocks my self-esteem and I can't remember the last time I wore a strappy top. People reading this won't think it's a big deal but when you see it it's a shock, and is so unusual. I can't have laser therapy on it because it's not on my face - and also never spend any time in the sun so that's nothing to do with it. The freckles are quite big and brown, but it's not cancerous apparently. It's also growing a lot. I suppose I'm asking what you would do in this situation? No rude answers please, I'm fed up with some people on here and their remarks.

I'm in that situation and have not found anything that would help and I even worked for a dermatologist for years.  I don't think even laser would help because a birthmark is more than skin deep.  The only advise I have is to be less self conscious about it.  I know that is not easy.
