Question:

Biscuits and Gravy on the Go?

Just a fast drive-thru for a biscuits and gravy. The food will be healthy with the same great taste. Just some good old fashion home cooked biscuits and gravy that will be quick and easy. We would also sell chicken and different styles of potatoes.

What do you think, would this be a good topic for a business plan for an economics class?

  1. Yes, it warrants investigation.  I think you could also sell those Texas Tenderloin Sandwiches like they have at the festivals and fairs.  The Pork Tenderloin is pressed very, very thin, then breaded and deep-fat fried.  They are about the size of a paper plate and served on a hamburger bun.  The Pork hangs-out all around the edges.  People stand in line at the carnival wagon to purchase them.

I don't know of any Fast Food restaurant that sells a Pork sandwich on a regular basis.  It would take a lot of advertising to get the popularity of Pork Sandwiches going, but the Pork Industry could probably lend some advertising support.  Just a thought.

  2. Yes.  Show the layout for the kitchen; get prices per square foot from a real state man or ask someone in the business how much they pay per square foot to help you with your class paper.  I often don't buy the chicken ...just the biscuts and gravy....   :-)

  3. Theoretically, it sounds appetizing, but, realistically, the idling vehicles will cause pollution. With gas prices being what they are, many drive-thrus are being closed. You need to justify the action with MANY benefits to have this considered as a viable concern. Good Luck!
