Bishen Singh Bedi slams the Indian team after Lord’s defeat – Cricket News Update
Former Indian captain, Bishen Singh Bedi, has slammed the Indian team after their loss in the first Test of the four-match series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 at Lords.
The home team defeated the world champions by a massive margin of 196 runs in the match which was the 2000th Test of the history of the game and the 100th between the two countries.

While taunting Dhoni, Bedi said in a humorous manner, “(Matt) Prior is a better wicketkeeper-batsman than (MS) Dhoni but Dhoni is a better wicketkeeper-bowler than Prior. Oh! It was embarrassing. By doing so he only suggested bankruptcy
in the bowling department.”
There is a lot of hype about this series as it is going to decide the top Test team of the world and cricket analysts feel that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 is underprepared as they rested the majority of the senior players for the tour of Caribbean as well.
Bedi, who is considered as one of the finest left-arm spinners to have played the game, expressed that the Indian team lacked planning and believes that Dhoni should have batted first after winning the toss on day one.

“I am not being wise after the event but how can you bowl first when your strength is batting. I am sure our batsmen would have negotiated the English bowling on the first day but we ended up chasing 400-plus due to some poor planning.
I am very small to give him a suggestion but he should have played his normal imperial innings,” he added.
The second match of the series is going to start from the 29th of July at Nottingham.
