Bit View Micko VS Bush Bandit: A battle for Primus Telecom Derby Trial Stakes title
With both Bit View Micko and Bush Bandit coming straight from hat-tricks, a fierce battle is expected between these two brilliants dogs when they turn to Henlow racecourse to run the Primus Telecom Derby Trial Stakes on Thursday night, September 20.
The open race will go over 460 meters. The first prize worth £150 will tempt each of the six participants to run well, but Bit View Micko and Bush Bandit are likely to be the real rivals.
Both of the greyhounds possess decent track records. Each one has proved his class on different occasions. Thus, the entire betting market is inclined towards the duo.
Bit View Micko has been constantly finishing on the podium since June 2012. The C. Price trained black dog gained five thirds and three runner-up ranks before managing to win The Lovethedogs.co.uk Standard on August 31. In the high-voltage race, he narrowly beat the hot favourite rival Daddy Knowsbest.
Considering that decent performance, the punters tagged him as favourite for the next two races. The novice runner justified this decision well by winning the both.
First, he claimed the title of Perry Barr September Standard Div 1 on September 7 and then, stood first nicely in the Mark Hill Standard - Div C on September 16. That was a fabulous hat-trick indeed.
In the light of these stats, we must have every reason to believe that Bit View Micko will produce a convincing run tonight.
Though not equal to Price’s pupil in terms of experience, Bush Bandit will also deliver a thumping performance in the race.
The K. Findlay trained blue dog has not stepped out of the podium in his career that began on August 5.
After winning his very first race by the big margin of 5 lengths, he gained a third and a victory in two T3 races respectively later in the same month.
The son of Droopys Scolari out of Tullig Woods looked pretty impressive when he emphatically beat the best-priced candidate, Millridge Duke, to win Primus Telecom Derby Trial Stakes on September 6.
The novice hound went on to win the same race again by six lengths’ margin on September 13. Thus, he too has a lot of firepower to unleash in the race.
So, let us be ready for the rip-roaring spar. Good luck to both the ardent hounds.
