Bit gross but desperate to know.?

Is it true that when you give birth you soil yourself?

I know that's gross but my boyfriend desperately wants kids, I don't really...all the pain and weight gain and doctors looking at your bits...makes me just a bit uncomfortable. I'm sure one day I probably will have kids but just want to know as much as possible before I make that decision.

Thanks :)

  1. i herd that yes sometimes that happens.. but it might be all gross but once your preg and all the gross stuff doesnt worry you and your just so happy to be preg and healthy and dont care aslong as you have a healthy baby.. :)

    good luck

  2. An e***a is bottle filled with water or a solution inserted into your back end to clear your bowels out. I've given birth twice and I never had one. I think they're becoming out dated.

Some women do pass a small amount of f***s while delivering but the staff/doctors are very professional about it and just quickly wipe it aside.

Every time before I went into labor I got very loose stool and diarrhea, it's natures way of cleaning your bowels out before labor starts ;)

  3. It does happen, but not to everyone. You have to push like your making a bowel movement, so it does happen.  The nurses and docs have seen it all, it's nothing to them.  No one wants this to happen to them, if you get an enima you might have a better chance of it not happening, but some docs don't do this anymore, or it's too late and you can't have one.  Either way, it will be no shocker to the doc's or nurses.

  4. Not always true, but yes the majority of the time, women tend to soil themselves during birth.

  5. It's possible. You use the same muscles to 'bear down' as you do when having a bowel movement. Often times you can request an e***a so that it doesn't happen on the table. Don't expect to be able to go to the bathroom before the big event though, it's just a fact of life! Doctors are used to it and if you're not comfortable with your partner seeing it just ask that they support you from behind the shoulders (that's what I'm asking mine to do!)

  6. Depends on the person really, but yes, most women do "soil" themselves during childbirth.

  7. hopefully they would give you an e***a first so this wouldn't happen!
