Bit holder?

im looking to buy a screwdriver bit holder like the ones used by tommy walsh in his tv programme. it automaticly stops when the s***w is sunk. anyone know the name of these bit holders please? thanks.

  1. I tried to understand BRP's response.  The one web site talks about currency in pounds, so it is more British than American.  As far a device that stops when the s***w is sunk, you can buy one for less than $1 at most hardware stores.  They have a regular #2 bit with a funny round head on them.  Ask for dry wall bit at your hardware store and no you don't want something that's going to cost $50.

  3. Drywall bit holders. We normally use dedicated drywall s***w guns with adjustable nosepieces and I find the bits like you described just a pain.

  4. U can set the torque in most battery power s***w drivers.  When the s***w is set,  it will just stop and make a clicking noise.  Dewalt and other manufactures put out a drywall bit that limits the depth of the drive.  There are bits that makes  the well to accomadate the s***w in 1 shot.  Ask the sells clerk to find the bid that u need.  There's many options.
