BitComet Torrents stopped at 99.5%, then started going dramatically slower?

I was downloading a torrent, consisting of 23 episodes of a show. The first two were at 99.5%, ahead of all the rest because I set them to High Priority. To isolate these and be able to watch them as soon as possible, I temporarily disabled the rest of the episodes.

The first 3 were at 99.5%, and while the torrent was going at about 150kb/sec, they never moved from there. I disabled the whole torrent, performed a Manual Hash Check, then enabled it again. It seemed to work, the first episode finally finished, but now the torrent is going at an average of 5 kb/sec, and I don't know why.

Can anyone help?

  1. pff you can`t stop it from now.you don`t have very much seeders so you can stop it from now because there is no change to get to 100 %.

  2. that just means that the part you need is rare amoung those that are seeding and wont get much quicker.

  3. The remaining portions of the file is probably held by someone that is allowing you to only download from at a low speed so that it isn't hogging up their bandwidth (or download speed)

  4. YIKES who is your ISP.

I download 5gb in 2.5 hours. I love my BBC shows.

The torrents run at 55Mbps.  So I do not take 2 days --48 hours--downloading video.
