Bitburger Open Grand Prix Gold: Tien Chen Chow stuns Marc Zwiebler to grab Men’s Singles title
Chinese Taipei’s spirited male shuttler Tien Chen Chou proved his elevated craft on court and grabbed Men’s Singles title after defeating his higher ranked German rival Marc Zwiebler in the final battle of Bitburger Open Grand Prix Gold 2012 on Sunday, November
4, in Germany.
The fifth seeded Tien Chou, who remained impressive throughout the tournament, played with tremendous precision and prove his mettle by beating the second seeded opponent in a striking fashion in 41 minutes.
Tien Chen was a lot more confident as compared to his rival as he played with impressive speed and stayed positive all the way to end up the contest in straight games with an amazing margin on the score board.
In the meanwhile, the higher ranked Zwiebler failed to respond well to his home fans as he could not put up strong show and remained unable to create gaps in his rival’s court.
German shuttler bowed down to his Taipei rival without snatching even a single game in the final battle of the tournament.

In the following set of this final battle, the situation was entirely different when Tien Chen played on a different level as he took the bird early and took a wonderful lead until the break.
After the break, Tien Chen continued putting up superb show without dropping his speed and managed to win the set with a huge margin of 21-12.
Tien Chen earned the Men’s Singles crown after taming Zwiebler in the title battle with a 21-19 and 21-12 score on the board.
