I have installed it - my friend says you can do an automatic scan with it that will suggest "suspicious websites" to go into your restricted area - is this the case?

  1. I can 't understand your question

  2. I believe what your friend is referring to is the browser immunization function that Spybot Search and Destroy (*) and SpywareBlaster have.

Both add suspicious sites to your Internet Explorer and/or Firefox restricted list.

I'm unaware of Bitdefender having this ability.

(*) In Spybot this is called its "SD Helper," not to be confused with the Spybot "Teatimer" function, which is incessantly annoying and most people disable it.

  3. I have "Spyware Cleaner 2008" and "Kaspersky" on my home PC.

    Spyware Cleaner 2008

    Kaspersky

  4. I have bitdefender.

No that is not the case.

It will automatically block access to some websites due to your settings.  You can add exceptions to every website.  So in a sense yes, it does "automatically" scan every web page before you do to it.  But it is not as advanced as your friend advocates.
