  1. Find someone to show you and observe you as you do it.  It's best if you can bridle different horses with different kinds of bridles...the more you see it, and do it, the better you get at it.

  2. You want to stand a little behind their head. Bridle in one hand the other hand putting the bit in. Once they open their mouth, just slide the bit in and pull it over their head. Its hard to explain. Watch someone and it gets alot easier

  3. your an intermediate rider and you dont know how to bridle a horse i learned the first time i went to take lessons

  4. well i learned how to do it on an extremely calm pony. it was not the same horse that i ride. this pony stood extremely still. i had a grooming and tacking lesson real early on.stand next to their shoulders and on their left side.  you put the reins over the horses head so theyre on their neck. then take the browband and noseband and flash in your left hand. take the horses face in your hand so your holding like inbetween theyre nose and eyes but like wheres its flat (i dont know what its called (:) then grab the noseband browband and flash in your right hand, still holding theyre head. kind of drop the noseband gently and use your thumb while holding the bit and guide it into their mouth by opening it with your thumb. then put the browband over their ears and do the noseband flash and throatlatch.

it sounds confusing, i know, but once you do it a couple times, its automatic

  5. 1. Take the bridle and sling it over your shoulder

    2. untie the horse from the cross ties

    3. Put the reins over your horse's neck

4  place the bit in one hand

    5. put the cavasson and the rest of the bridle in the other.

    6. hold the big bunch of leather you have in you hand up right near the forlock

    7. take the bit and put it into the horse's mouth

    8. If you are having diffculties, take you're finger nail and kinda press it into the horse's gum. then, when they open their mouth in discomfort, that's your chance!

    Have fun!!!

  6. Truly the best way to learn is by watching someone do it and then trying it yourself.

Here's a site which may help though

  7. It is best that you get hands-on training with this.

But as one person was trying to say...I must correct, the browband goes across the horses forehead.  What they are calling the browband is called the headstall.  And not every cavesson has a flash attached to it.

I just wanted to clarify a couple of the most obvious things .

It is important that you learn the parts of the bridle before bridling a horse.
