Bitten by red crane fly-type bug. What is it?

I live in the UK and I was just getting this daddy long legs (crane fly) out of my sisters room cus she's scared of them, but it bit/stung me.

The bite doesn't hurt anymore but I was wondering what kind of crane fly it was. It was red and had shorter legs then the common kind. I've never seen one like it. Does anyone know what it is?

its called a chigger.since you got bit from it, if u dont treat it soon it will begin to form pimpal like spots all around your body. if u dont treat it and try to pop the spots it will stay there permanently.so i suggest you treat it as soon as possible.\

ive gotten bit by it so i know.
