Bitten or stung by something that looks like a little black ant?

I went to get my journal, and a really small bug, I swear it looked just like a black ant, fell out. I didn't think much of it, and then my thigh hurt like CRAZY. It wasn't really itchy, but it HURT. I took off my shorts and it was red all over, and then I shook out my shorts and there was that little black ant looking bug. I was really ticked off, so I squished it. I looked it up, and some article said it could have been an "ant mimic spider". I was just wondering how I would know if it was an ant, or a spider, and what exactly bit me (and what's gonna happen).

I am not able to say exactly what stung you or what will happen.  You have two options:

1). Go to the local pharmacy and find out if you can get Witch Hazel and splash it on.

2). Go to the doctor and he'll prescribe something for it.

Even if you do not chose to do option 1 now, it is good havening Witch Hazel at home since it is very good to use immediately after getting an insect bite.
