Please check this out to see if I drew the right conclusions:
This is weird, but in the long run, it has no real bearing on anybody's life except in some highly unlikely legal situation.
However, it happened.
It sort of sounds like a very old ridiculous song in which a man claimed to be his own grandfather. (In case you want to look it up, the song is "I'm my own Grandpa")
A man, let's call him Fred, because that is not his real name, got a young woman (Herein named Petunia) pregnant. Instead of marrying
Petunia, Fred married her mother. When Petunia's daughter Hortense (not her real name) was born, her birth father was legally her grandfather, and her birth mother was legally her sister. This made Hortense also her own sister, her own aunt, and her own niece. Since her birth father was also legally her grandfather, and her mother her sister, she was also now her own grand niece.
Petunia got married and had other children, which were half-brothers and half-sisters to Hortense, but since Petunia is legally Hortense's sister and also her aunt, her children were also not only cousins but also nieces and nephews to Hortense.
Please check this out to see if I am correct here.
The funny thing is that, at one time, Hortense and I were talking about getting married. For reasons I will not state here, I am very glad that did not happen.
