Bizzare Quicktime behaviour. Watching a video tutorial and it starts off okay then loses sync.?

Question

The audio is playing back at normal speed but the video content speeds up. I dropped it in RealPlayer and it worked fine, but then it started to happen in that player also. Switching back to Quicktime it played okay. I then tried it on another Mac and it still happened on both players. Has anyone got a clue as to what is happening. Thanks in advance.
