I'm black and i have a friend who thinks that there is a certain rift between ethnic minorities in America. He says that sometimes we play into stereotypes about each other and that's where the hatred booms in. He says that ethnic groups should be unified and should promote friendship. He also says he is starting a hangout club where blacks, Hispanics, asians and other ethnic minorities can shoot the breeze and have a good time. I like the idea, it praises peaceful diversity. What do you guys think?

  1. Well, the diversity club is a step in the right direction. But what your friend must understand is that he can't be bias to allowing other ethnic groups in (such as white people) that he has a slight prejudice towards. Because if he does this, then that makes him no better than the people who discriminates against us as a race. The racial harmony is a wonderful thought, and I hope that he really does establish such a club (I myself would like to come a spin a few tunes on the wheels of steel). But he has to be open to accepting everyone the way he wants other races to embrace him. We can't preach against discrimination if we're contributing to the problem.

  2. I like that idea especially since my parents are racist . I move A LOT and have traveled a lot so I'd like to think there is peace between races.

  3. That's a cool idea..if everyone learns their all alike in ways..they would have a better understanding of people and know theres really nothing wrong. I always grew up in diversity and I like that. It's a cool experience and if people at my old school were more diverse instead of segregating themselves..that would be great too..but..idk..I sat at the only table with diversity..it was tiny...o.o.

  4. I think that's a great idea! :D That way, different kinds of people can socially interact and understand each other much better!

  5. And whites are not an ethnic group???

  6. Nothing new to me my mother and father raised me that way.

I've always had a group of friends who were a variety of people of color.

I just have to get my parents to get rid of there bias of white people, but I don't think thats going to happen they have too many negative encounters and still are.

  7. Excellent idea,

by all means go for it.
