  1. I doubt it, the public is fickle and its very easy to lose favor when things are brought to light


  2. nope, some companies try to rig it, like that oil company early this century, i forgot its name. if the stack market was rigged there would be just a few people making all the money.

  3. Yeah it's rigged, always has been, probably always will be.  But as long as some people make money in it, folks be willing to take the risk.

  4. Isn't that why the Securities and Exchange Commission exist to monitor and protect the publics interests by providing advice about who can participate in trades? I mean they do have specific rules for day traders vs. regular long term investors. Look at Martha Stewart's conviction- she broke the rules and did her bid. If companies play with stocks and shareholders (Enron), they will soon be found out.

    As far as Mr. Big Mouth Cramer, he needs the ratings!!!!!!!! Of course people will still listen to him, we as a society, love racy issues!


  5. Rigged, hmmm, perhaps a few sectors here and there at various times. If you can figure out how to make money in it, who cares?
