Black Assassin to blitz opposition in Lady Pam Stakes at Romford
It might prove costly to underestimate Black Assassin in the Lady Pam Stakes at Romford on Monday night. The black dog is full of spirit following an outstanding victory, and has an obvious chance of sealing the show in today’s 400 metres race.
A couple of unlucky rides did not shake his confidence, as he performed magnificently last time around. Despite getting crowded at the first bend, D. Mullins’ charge kept running at a very high speed, not giving his rivals any chance whatsoever.
An excellent effort helped him grab the first position by three and a half lengths. After such a comprehensive win, College Causeway’s son is brimming with confidence and if he manages to take a good start, his chances will automatically go up.
He is all set to face a star-studded line-up of five hounds. Their names are: Quivers Phanter, Cry Lightening, Spruce Willis, Phoenix Jack and Noelles Romeo. The £135 contest is set to start at 21:14 GMT.
Quivers Phanter is likely to get the highest odds because of her experience of running at the higher grade. Despite the fact that she recently made a terrific solo outing, we are reluctant to recommend her especially after two terrible defeats she suffered
lately.
The black b***h completed the order of finish twice last month. Yet, a lot of punters will want to invest their money on her, expecting a good return.
Cry Lightening looks sure to be sniffing out a medal tonight. P. Young’s trainee clinched a comprehensive win before losing her direction last time out. She started off well, but an awful mess in the middle stages pushed her down to the fourth spot. She
will surely be among top-3.
Phoenix Jack had excuses recently, and we don’t expect things to turn around this time. Noelles Romeo is unlikely to build a wall to stop the shorter-priced rivals. Similarly, Spruce Willis would find it difficult to carry forward his good work against this
line-up.
Quivers Phanter and Cry Lightening are unquestionably two powerful hounds, but Black Assassin can still be preferred for today’s big meeting. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
