Black Bear hunting help?

Question

I am considering taking a trip from Florida to Georgia for a black bear hunt using this outfitter: http://www.angelfire.com/tn/farner/bear.html

But the thing is I am on a tight budget, do you think 2 days would be enough to bag a black bear from a stand? Or do I need to hunt more days? The way they hunt is still hunt using burn sticks and sow bear urine as an attractant.

Honey you can come to Arkansas an kill one behind my house.I think two days will be enough.My husband is a av ed deer hunter and turkey .

I learned the hard way on a dream hunt I undertook several years ago. I went to Alaska to hunt Caribou and according to the guide, 4 days was plenty of time. On arrival, the heards had shifted their route and we did not se a single set of horns for the entire 4 days. Luckily I was able to extend the hunt by 3 more days and moved to another location. I bagged a pretty decent 'bou the next day. My suggestion, plan for 2 or 3 more days on the hunt. that way if you do score early, you can fish etc for the rest of the time and just relax. If not, you have those extra days to hunt.

2 days would  be enough put georgia has a very low population of black bears. you should go north to the mountains of north carolina

2 days MIGHT be sufficient if your hunting a baited area. You'll have to contact the guide and find out about if hey've been active in the area. If it's legal to bait, (some states you can't) and also if they have a no kill no pay guarantee. IF they do have a no kill-no pay, ask about size minimums. If you shoot a cub with an immoral guide, you've still technically killed something so you'll have to pay. You wouldnt want to do that and you wouldnt want to also pay full price for a smaller bear. Dont just kill something small b/c you're anxious, make the hunt worth it.
