Black Caviar’s record as clean as a whistle as she posts her eighteenth victory through Grade 1, Sportingbet C. F. Orr Stakes on 11th February
If there is a horse that is truly irrepressible then it has to be the hope of the Australian nation in horse racing, the undisputed, Black Caviar. If anyone had doubts upon her ability to stretch her winning streak to an eighteen for eighteen, then
it has to be seriously reconsidered, as the horse seems to be in no mood of slowing down.
Black Caviar won the Grade 1, Sportingbet C. F. Orr Stakes at Caulfield on 11th February, raced over 1,400 metre on turf, and bagged her eighth grade 1 success, a tally very few get to achieve.
The six-year-old trained by Peter Moody, was the 1 to 20 favourite for the race, and defeated, Southern Speed, in second place, and cornered, Playing God, third while onboard Luke Nolen.

Both the horses are winners of grade 1 races, but then again they were competing against a mare, who has never taken failure into account as her signature style when racing, is to win.
Black Caviar eased through the wire in a minute and 25.14 seconds, leading by 3 ¼ lengths.
“On the ease of that win, I’m probably going to have to do more work with her next Saturday morning to have her ready for the Futurity than she did here this afternoon,” Moody informed Australian news services. “If she comes through this great, there
is a chance you will see her again in seven days.”
For future outings of Black Caviar, Peter Moody has the Grade 1, Lightning Stakes in mind on 18th February that will be raced over 1,000 metres, and later into the month she is headed for the Grade 1 Futurity Stakes on 25th February.
Both the races are at Caulfield.
If she participates in both these races, and wins them then her count for the grade 1’s won would go up to ten, while her successes would become a good twenty even before the Dubai World Cup on 31st March at Meydan.
The record would fulfil the wish of the trainer to make, Black Caviar, surpass the modern day Australian record, and equal the American record of Zenyatta.
For 8th April Black Caviar has been entered for the Grade 1, T. J. Smith.
Her nineteenth career start at Caulfield will make news pretty soon.
