Black Eyeliner help?

Question

Well, I was wearing black eyeliner about 2 days ago and I had it on just the way I wanted it and then when our family got here for a few days I found out I look goth because it's all smeared. How can I make it not smear, lol. BTW, it;s an eye pencil (: (NYC)

get any liquid liner and blot it off with some black eye shadow and that will keep it from running, and it will also give your eyes a more s**y look

Try waterproof eyeliner!!I use one from L'Oreal!!

Try a liquid eyeliner.

It dries and stays all day.

But if you insist on using your eyeliner pencil then apply a translucent powder over the top so it will set. It wont discolor it and make it look grey but it will help it stay far much longer then with out it.

Also don't touch your eyes... Try not to squint either because that causes it to smudge.

But id definitely go with liquid eyeliner.

i use the fluidline stuff from mac, its ok, not amazing.  If you really want a pencil tho i would say put it on, then smudge it with eye shadow to make it stick.  Check in a mirror and touch up any smudges with the revlon makeup eraser pen as often as u think is right, i say bout every 4 hours.  i really hope this helps!

NYC isn't exactly the best pencil eyeliner out there on the market so it's likely that you'll experience smudging and fading. Liquid liner is a good alternative because they don't tend to stay put. They do take a little getting used to, but in the end you'll be happy with the results. If you're really heart set on using a pencil eyeliner, try Revlon. It's a bit more expensive, but still a drugstore brand that does the job.

get urban decays "Primer potion" and if not, i reccomend liquidast eyeliner from mac or a kohl pencil. i also like SHe Laq bye benefit. try a cake liner too! but my favorite is getting a liner flat brush and rubbing it against my eyeshadow (navy blue) and applying it.

You should try using liquid or a wet angle-brush in your favorite eyeshadow.  Physician's Formula definitely is the best for the latter.  If you don't want to buy a new one, use a sheer powder dusted on your eyelids.  This tip will allow the make-up to stay on longer.

i hate when eyeliner smears...

i stick  with liquid eyeliners.

and when i use the pencil ones, i pick the ones that are waterproof or ones that are made to be smearproof. lol

pencil will always smear so try liquid or this kind

Hi, I just got black kohl eyeliner; the woman at the mac counter did it for me.  I was worried about smudging and she said to use "water resistant" eyeliner.  I'm not a Mac rep but I bought their pencil; it's $15 and works very well.  Good luck!

First of all, try not to touch your eyes. that's what smears it, and its not good for your eyes anyways. You can easily get pink eye from it. Instead of NYC, try a Clinique Retractable Pencil. You dont have to sharpen it, you just turn it. That kind of eyeliner stays on better, and you definitly have less of a chance of smearing :)
