Question:

Black Paint. Stars. YUCK!?

We bought a house. One bedroom has black paint with thousands upon thousands of tiny stars mixed in the paint for weird texture. We're going to re-paint the room but is there an easy way to remove those stubburn stars?? We've used a scraper but as the stars fall it leave little dips in the wall. Somebody help me...please!

  1. Re sheetrock, tape, spackle, and paint.

  2. You can use wallpaper , or use the stars!Paint your room dark blue and make the stars white. Then get furniture to match the walls. This might be hard, but it's worth it!

  3. Wall paper? There is a wall paper you can use to cover over imperfections in walls. It might be an option.

  4. My suggestion would be liberal use of knockdown, or some type of rough texturing for the wall before priming and painting.  Priming the wall is critical!
