Hi!
I'm using my friend's JVC TV. (I'm sure it's at least six or more years old, about a 24" screen.) She had it set for closed captioning which was driving me crazy - so I managed to get rid of that...BUT now there is a black box in front of the entire picture, with just a little 'border' of underlying picture showing.
The set does have PIP, and sometimes if I push "swap" on the remote, the channel numbers flip from upper corner to lower, but always the big black blocking box return.
I read that there might be an internal problem needing resetting, so I unplugged it overnight...Absolutely no effect.
Anybody have any ideas?
