Black eye, told you once jokes?

My friends told me the joke "what do you say to a woman with two black eyes? nothing you already told her twice" and i pretended to get it but i dont. can anybody explain it to me?

Stupid and horrible joke making fun of domestic violence.
Be proud, not getting this means you don' take for granted and accept men physically harming the woman they're meant to love and respect in order to get have their way.
