Black hole white hole?

I dont remember what I was watching but Im I saw that the scientists think there is a small black hole in the bermuda triangle sucking in matter (dont think so or earth would suck itself inside of itself? if that makes sense lol) and in the ring of fire a while hole which is emitting matter (never heard it o.O). So I was wondering on some of your opinions :D

  1. That is Obama and Biden, I believe.

  2. a black hole is something that scientists know exist in the universe. a black hole is the result of a collapsed star.  of course no one has ever successfully traveled through a black hole and lived to tell the tale, but scientists' theory is that on the other side of the black hole there is a white hole spitting out all the matter it is sucking it.  theoretically this would be an alternative universe.  there is no way either one of those things could be anywhere near the earth.

  3. Ahem. There is no such thing. That is to say, black holes do exist, but white holes do not (at least they have never been observed and are not very well supported by known laws of physics), and there is no macroscopic object of either type on Earth right now.

If a black hole were actually situated in the Bermuda Triangle, then it would necessarily be very massive in order not to simply explode within a very short time. Such a black hole would have a gravity comparable to that of the Earth, and could not possibly escape detection by scientists. Furthermore, it would not remain floating in the Bermuda Triangle, but would rather plunge right down through the ocean, through the solid rock underneath and all the way to the center of the Earth (and part of the way back up the other side). It would also consume the Earth and everything on it relatively quickly. No serious scientist actually suggests that the Bermuda Triangle has a large black hole in it, and anyone who does suggest such a thing is merely demonstrating their ignorance of the physics involved.

  4. Wrong

  5. i saw that on the history channel. i doubt it. the history channel isn't always very accurate.

its just that the weather changes suddenly there. big whoop-dee-do.

  6. you were watching a very bad episode of universe. my opinion is that that is complete c**p. :'/

  7. Opinion questions belong elsewhere.  Let's keep this portion science and not conjecture.

As for the black hole; they emit fantastically strong gamma emissions.  These would be so easy to find that if they existed, there would not be any doubt that a black hole existed.  As for "sucking", the difference between densities of "earth" and in black holes is larger than Avagadro's number, so it could suck quite a bit.  However, the earth does not seem to be shrinking (perhaps it really is, global warming cause?)

  8. It is happening in d.c. as we speak. <}:-})

  9. nothing can escape not even light can escape its pull after having fallen past its event horizon. The term "Black Hole" comes from the fact that, at a certain point, even electromagnetic radiation (e.g. visible light) is unable to break away from the attraction of these massive objects. This renders the hole's interior invisible or, rather, black like the appearance of space itself.

In astrophysics, a white hole is the theoretical time reversal of a black hole. While a black hole acts as a vacuum, sucking up any matter that crosses the event horizon, a white hole acts as a source that ejects matter from its event horizon. The sign of the acceleration is invariant under time reversal[citation needed], so both black and white holes attract matter. The only potential difference between them is in the behavior at the horizon

    hey green wanna bet

  10. No scientist believes a small black hole is anywhere on, in or near the Earth. We would not be here otherwise! It's just due to weather and don't forget thousands of boats and aircraft make it through this large area every single month without any problem.
