Black holes?

ok my brother says that there are billions of blackholes everywhere on the earth, yet they are tiny. i say its a bunch of bull. whos right?

  1. He's probably just referring to the blackhole he calls his brain.

    There are no existing blackholes on Earth.  There exists the possibility that highly microscopic black holes with a lifetime measured in millionths of a second could be created in the Large Hadron Collider or in one of its successors.  Said blackholes will not threaten the Earth.

    For now, all black holes exist way out there throughout the universe.

    Then again, there have been a few speculations that there could be a black hole at the center of the Earth.  It is purely speculation.

  3. In order to qualify as blackhole, it must reach a critical mass before it will warp. So, no. Tiny ones are simply collections of neutrons waiting to undergo change.

  4. You are right. black holes are infinitley dense objects that have massive gravity. If even one small one got near us then we would all be sucked in until there is nothing left around it. Congratulations, you beat him!
