  1. As stated, most places, when showing an Ace or 10 up, will peek to see if they indeed have blackjack.  If they do, the game is over, and everyone will lose, unless you were also dealt blackjack.

I've played at one casino in Vegas (Binions Horseshoe) where they would only peek when dealt an Ace up.  I saw a few times, where they were dealt a 10, play continued, players hit or doubled down and got 21, and then lost because the dealer revealed an ace in the hole.

Before you sit down at a table, make sure you know the rules of the house/that particular game.  Some variations might include:

Splitting Aces...Do they get one card each, or are you allowed to hit on them after splitting

    Surrender - Is it allowed?

    Can pairs be resplit?

Double down on any two cards, or only 10,11?

Any side bets offered?  Pair Square, Royal Match, Lucky Ladies, etc.

Any bonuses paid, 5 card 21's, 6 cards without busting.

Games like Spanish 21 have bonuses, but also have the 10's (not face cards, just 10's ) removed from the deck.

  2. A dealer blackjack (first two cards = 21) will push (tie) a player blackjack but it will beat a player 21 (any three or more cards = 21). Like wise a player blackjack will beat a dealer 21.

Most casinos peak under 10's and A's so the hand the hand is over before the player draws cards so your not likely to see a player with 21 vs dealer blackjack.

  3. if u have black jack (A,10) and dealer does its a push (tie)

  4. When you say the player has 21, do you mean if the player has blackjack - there is a difference?

  5. yes, if the betting goes, and everyone stays in untill the end, the tie will always go to the dealer, no matter what

  6. If the dealer gets a blackjack and the player has the blackjack at the same time the players cards would be a push and everyone else would lose.
