Question:

Black-light pool tables?

In my city, the worst pool hall in town doesn't have a bar or a liquor license, so it has to attract a lot of younger people. They have a few tables in the back that are black-light tables with the special glow-in-the-dark pockets and lines on the rails, etc. Personally, I can't stand them, but I want to know your experience with and opinion of this little novelty. The way I see it, if it gets young people around a pool table, then it's fine. My hope is that at least a few of these young people poke their heads out of the dark room and get curious about all of these old people playing with regular, visible lighting, on those huge tables. 2. It's quite an interesting version of the game but after a half hour your eyes will ache like a son of a...!

  3. Never seen it. Sounds kinda neat though especially if it gets the kids interested in regular pool. If we had pool tourneys for the kids with the prizes being video games and mp3 players the list of entrants would never stop. lol

  4. Remember one tip I read about going into a hall ahead of time to adjust to the lighting.....how long would this type take?.....never have tried it....did "moonlight" bowl once or twice...that was fun.....I bet this "novelty" would be fun to try....how do you aim?...is the ferrule/tip luminous as well?.......might be fun once or twice but it might ruin my game and keep from making the tour!!....yeah  right!!
