I mean do u ever watch saying that word, just because white people are around? Personally, i have to consider the white person it is that i am around. If its a teacher i will prolly not say it, in their earshot lol. But if its a good white friend of mine i will say it. I like to see thier reaction from me saying the word. Not as a joke, but just to see where their mind is. Cuz i dont like it when white ppl try to act like slavery never happened or discrimintation and racism doesnt happen. If i say it and they talk to me about it and dont want me to say it around them anymore it lets me kno they know that what happened was messed up and they want us to move on to a better future. it give me so much more respect for them as a person. But if they sit up there and get mad i will get mad as well cuz its seems like they dont want to face that stuff like that happened and still happens. In stores i try not to say it so much cuz i feel its like cussing in public, not acceptable..idk?

  1. umm what is slavery?

  2. Why use a word (or variations of) when the same word was created/used to be offensive to you? Stop using it in any form or manner.

  3. i agree with you.

but i dont really like that word anywayz.

its offensive in general, so i dont even say it.

  4. I personally NEVER use that word in public.  I have heard younger people say it and they look and sound like cheap ignorant trash.  I think you shouldn't say that word EVER.  It's not necessary.  It's one thing to hear a comedian on stage speaking like that-that's one thing but out in public it shouldn't be used.

  5. I never use that word myself, it's just too demeaning to be carelessly throwing it out. Even when I'm around other black people I resist the urge to say it, despite all of them are saying it. I will admit use to say different vairations of the word, but I found the meaning is all the same and no better than saying the original word. So now I don't say the word or any variation of it out of respect for myself and blacks in general.
