  1. Of course they swim.

Haven't they ever heard of Cullen Jones, who recently broke an American record?

  2. now that i think of it i have never seen  a black person swim

my best friend is black and owns a pool

but he hates to use it and rarely does

  3. CULLEN JONES

  4. Hey think in common sense, the blacks are people too.Other people swim and so why not to black peoples.

  5. NO WAY!

I taught swim lessons to this little black girl though and her mom was white, her dad was black. the mom was like "hey I think my daughter has trouble floating because her dad has trouble too, I think its cause their black" I was like WHATT! she thought their bones where more dense or some kind of c**p. anyways there are both black and white people that have trouble with swimming, I'm sure.

  6. man thats b.s. black people swim

its just a stereotype because swimming is usually associated with rich white folks ??

  7. If you're black, and can swim, you just answered your own question.

  8. there is a very high percentage of african americans who dont swim or have a fear of water in the united states, i have noticed it particularly where i live in the south.  i happen to know a few black people who can swim but the majority of my black friends do not.

  9. After hearing that stereotype you can always mention Cullen Jones and Maritza Correia 2 black Olympians in swimming... One reason for the sterotype though is that drowning rates are highest for blacks found in some survey done by USAswimming.

  10. who told you that? My best guy friend is an AMAZING swimmer!!! and guess what? He's black! he is like super fast!! Whoever told you that is just probably racist or maybe you beat them in something? =)

  11. wtf not at all im white but im afraid of black swimmers (thats sounds mean) but they are sooo fast they are my biggest competition

  12. This is a common misconception due to the limited number of pools in inner city neighborhoods, which are commonly inhabited by minorities. You can't learn how to swim if you don't have a pool to go to.
