Black small beetles?

Question

I've been seeing these very small black beetles in our bathroom every day! They seem to come in from the window, i think. They love the bath tub. Maybe the water? They also hang out on the ceiling. When I smoosh them, they crunch. They are all black and they fit on a fingernail they are so small. What are these? Why do they want to come into my house? How do we get rid of them?
