Black small bug/insect?

Question

Ok the thing is black and about 1/4 inch long. It comes out mainly at night. It kinda favors a beetle, but doesn't get so large. In the morning there are several hundred dead under the security light. As I walk into the door at night the come in on my shirt or while I am feeding the dogs and they get in your clothes and bite. The bite doesn't itch it just stings. I live in south GA if it helps. Thanks
