Black smudge on SD750

Question

There's a little black dot/smudge that shows on the screen of my Canon SD750 camera. It's not a smudge on the screen itself (because I tried wiping it) but its showing up on the pixels of the screen. I don't know of any other way to describe it.

Does anyone know what this might be?

Oh. A dead pixel.

It should not affect your photo in anyway--just the display.

If it's a brand new camera, I'd take it back. But if you have had it for a while, it might be more expensive to replace it, then to get a new camera, I think.
