Black snake with white belly/mouth?

in SE VA in the woods.about 6-8' any body know what kind ?

Your in virgina so it is more then likely to be a rat snake infact im almost possitive that is what it is. I live in maryland and they are everywhere. Good snake to have around will eat all the large rats and mice the smaller guys cant take care of.

I don't know the name but I have heard my dad talk about them. I do remember that they are poisonous. So don't touch it. Good luck
