Ok it is not a dandruff...it is some kind of p**p of a parasite I guess because when it falls on a wet surface it starts melting and turns red ...but I can not find any fleas or anything else...and it is going on about 4 days now. She wasn't feeling well for about 4 days, we didn't know what's going on with her. She never goes outside since we live on the 2nd floor, but we have a little balcony and she loves being there when the sun is shining. I thought it might be some parasite mites or something she got from outside. I don't know what to do beside take here to the vet. Any helping idea? Thanks

  1. It does sound like your cat has some kind of parasite probably fleas. Most products on the market are for repelling fleas not killing fleas. You can usually buy the best flea products from your vets, it will be worth buying a spray for the house and the cats bedding as well to kill any that are lurking around. Don’t leave it any longer though or the problem will just get worse!

  2. Your cat has fleas. You can not always find the fleas. Have you combed her with a fine toothed comb?? If not try doing this. That is definitely a sign of fleas. You need to get Advantage from the vet.

  3. your cat has flees, this is the flee p**p, I would take your cat to the vet so  you can get some flee medicine for her.

  4. defiantly a start of a flea problem. get her some frontline.i works miracles. i was finding the same thing in my house.

  5. Flea p**p.  When a flea bites your cat, it "poops" out those little black things, which their baby fleas wil eat.  It turns red because it's made of blood.  Gross, huh?

The vet can give her a flea treatment.  You can get flea-killing carpet powder, go over your rugs with it, wash things in hot water, and they should go away pretty quickly.

  6. It's flea dirt and you should see a vet to make sure she gets the flea treatment that's best for her.

Here's some photos of flea dirt:
