Question:

Black spots in my aquarium?

im my 55 gallon fish tank there is black dots through out it ( on the glass ) and i dont know what it is? what do i need to get rid of it? what does the aquarium have that i need to get rid of or is it laking somehting?

  1. I don't know about black spots. Check up a little harder and see if they may be dark green. If so, that is algae. Algae appears when the fish tank is placed in direct sunlight. To get rid of algae you could buy an algae scrubber or, to save money, you can just rub it off with a normal sponge.

    If you have a tropical tank, another option may be to buy a catfish or an algae-eating fish to keep your tank clean. Anyway, hope this info helped.


  2. well the spots maybe dirt, algea, of fish blood.

    if its algae just scrub it off with a sponge, same with the dirt.

    but if its fish blood I would sugest inspecting the fish for injuries or health issues.

  3. did you have that before? it can be debris or dirt. or your tank maybe just be getting old.
